Sweet Dreams

Lexi decided her pony needed to sleep too! I love the sleeping pictures of my kids. They are so sweet and innocent as they sleep!

Matthew's New Toy

Matthew got a new walker today and he loves it! He sqealed and got so excited when I put him in it. He is such a sweetie! I can't believe he is almost five months. WOW!

Our Two Year Old

Lexi turned two at the end of October. She has definatlely been the highlight of our life the past two years. She is so lovable and happy! She keeps us entertained and tickled pink daily!

The BIG Kid

Is he a BIG kid or what? Here is is Jim having fun with Lexi's new toy. Lexi really enjoyed seeing her dad have a good time. She got in it with him in the picture of her looking up from the tunnel. Kids sure do keep us young, don't they!

I Belong in Rome

You Belong in Rome
You're a big city girl with a small town heartWhich is why you're attracted to the romance of RomeStrolling down picture perfect streets, cappuccino in handAnd gorgeous Italian men - could life get any better?
What City Do You Belong In?

This Post is Dedicated to Sabrina

"The most beautiful discovery that true friends can make is that they can grow separately without growing apart."- Unknown

Sometimes in life, you find a special friend
Someone who changes your life
by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop
Someone who convinces you that
there is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.
This is forever friendship....
When you're down, and the world seems
dark and empty,
your forever friend lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark
and empty world suddenly seem
bright and full...
Your forever friend gets you through
the hard times,
the sad times, and the confused times.
If you turn and walks away,
your forever friend follows.
If you lose your way, your forever friend
guides you and cheers you on.
Your forever friend holds your hand
and tells you that everything is
going to be okay.
And if you find such a friend you feel happy
and complete,
because you need not worry.
You have a forever friend for life
and forever has no end..

I am thankful for all of the years of friendship I have had with you (Almost 11 - WOW!!)! We are opposites in so many ways...... yet so much alike. Distance has proven the bond of my friendship with you and even though we don't see eachother often we have managed to maintain our friendship. Even it its through the phone, computer or a quick visit while your in town. You know a good friend when you can pick up right where you left off without missing a beat.

We are friends in good and are not shaken in the bad. Whether it be a misunderstanding, a conflict or just the differences in who we are. I appreciate that about us!

I can laugh with you and at you! I can talk with you and cry with you.

We can raise our kids together and help eachother be the best wives we can be. How fun it is to grown old together. Only, lets not focus on that (smile).

Many people have come and gone but I am thankful that you are here to stay. I love you and thank you for your friendship.

Life has been busy lately. It seems as if keeping up on the house and two little ones is a full-time job in itself. On top of that I just finished a Real Estate course that I had signed up for just before getting pregnant. With the pregnancy out went Real Estate, didn't sound too fun while I was sick most of the time. So I put it off and had a deadline of one year, which was October 12th and I DID IT!! I am so relieved and I passed, thats even better! I am not exact on what I will do with it but felt that since I started I should finish it and so I did. I am waiting for a certificate in the mail and then I can schedule an appointment for the state exam.

Not much new is happening here! Just daily life and a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Lexi will be two if a few weeks. And is at a really fun stage. She is learning new words everyday and learning to express herself. Some of her expressions and the creative ways she uses to get a point accross keeps me tickled. My favorite thing that she is saying is I love you. Such a sweet sound to a mommys ears. She loves people and has a constant enjoyment for life. That, I pray she never loses.
Matthew just turned three months and is a little sweetie pie. He too just warms my heart with his gooing, smile and sweet little spirit. He is a strong little guy and quite the chunk. He looks just like hid Daddy too! That sounded bad I'm not calling his dad a chunk.

I won't mention all of the negatives.........how tired I am, Matthew keeping me up all night, Lexi getting into anything she can find and making messes or Jim...well....I wont say (hee! hee!).
Overall Life is great!!!!!

Lexi and my niece Chelsey. There is something about this picture that is sweet to me!

Matthew and Grandpa (my Dad)

This is Lexi on the run. She is supposed to be going to the car but often decides that I need to chase her. She turns around to give a sweet smile! I'm sure you moms have had your fare share of exercise trying to catch up with your toddler as they take off in the grocery store, or anywhere else for that matter. Lexi will laugh and run. I must look ridiculous half of the time, trying to catch up with her. I am amazed at how the silliest things become a game and are so exciting for kids. Rather than get frustrated I have to remind myself to lighten up and have fun! I so want to enjoy every moment and take the advice of many that say "it goes fast"! I cherish these years and hope that I can make a constant effort to slow down and not get caught in the rat race of life!!!

My sweet Matthew! I can hardley believe that he is almost three months old. He is growing fast and I am enjoying every minute of it. He is almost fifteen pounds and quite the little chunk. I was suprised tonight when I tried some new pj's on him that were a size 6M. I thought they would be a bit big, but nope! they fit him perfectly!!
He is smiling and becoming more interactive every day. I love it! He is eating well obviously and has just started sleeping between 6 and 7 hours a night, which I praise the Lord for - What a guy!!!
I have been blessed with good sleepers. Considering that Lexi has taken two naps up until recently and goes to bed with ease. She probably would continue with the two naps, but I didn't feel I could be consistent enough with it. I am not a huge schedule person but do make sure we get the naps at the same time everyday and that bedtime is the same. They need their sleep to grow!!! And of course I need mine!!! I am sure that is part of the motivation!!!

Lexi treating herself to a snack!

Lexi is in love with her brother and can't seem to get enough of him.

With Grandma Roseanne

Here are some updated pictures of Lexi and Matthew. Lexi is going to be two in two months and I can hardley believe it! She keeps up entertained and on our toes. Her latest accomplishment: She is now potty trained!! Yippeee! I followed the advice of Holly and Sabrina and wow! It only took about a week.
As for Matthew - He is now 9 weeks old and has reached 14lbs. He is a little chunk and such a sweet little guy. I have had quite a busy month, and will write more soon.

We have been back for California for about a week. We brought Haley, a friends daughther back for the week. She is 10 years old and we have been enjoying getting to spend time with her. Lexi is loving the attention and going to be sad when she leaves. Haley wanted to come spend time with the kids, and loves little ones. She has been a nice little helper.

Andy Potts is married!!! We are all so happy for him and Andrea. I wish I had a picture to post. The wedding was very sweet and HOT! it was 106 degrees on the day of the outdoors wedding. A bit hot!!!! Other than that the wedding and reception were great!

I love seeing how God is putting all of our families together and how through MC so many marriages have come about. Jim was talking a few days ago about all of the couples that wouldn't be if it weren't for MC. I am also thankful that God doesn't always answer our prayers and can see a bigger picture for our futures. I am sure many are glad that who they had in mind wasn't Gods choice too!

Jim dedided to put Matthew in Lexi's doll stroller. By the look on Matthews face he seems to be enjoying it.

Jim and Matthew taking a snooze on my laundry (clean laundry -smile! smile!).

Matthew and Melody - aren't they sweet! We love Melody very much.

Cute picture of Leilani Bryan and Matthew. We got to see Leilani while we were in California for Andys wedding.

This is my friend Erin from California. I became close to her and found a life long friend in her while we were living in California. I am so thankful for her and our friendship.

This is Chloe, my freind Erins daughter with Lexi. Lexi enjoys the water.

Haley with Lexi

We went to California for Andy and Andrea's wedding. While there I got to see my very good friend Erin. Here is a picture of her daughter Haley with Matthew.

I have always thought it would be neat to have twins and each time I have been pregnant I have hoped that there would be two. But after each child I am so releaved that there is only one! I can't imagine how I would do it with two newborns. I give it to my sister who has done so. I have been so busy this past few weeks and am really glad that I can adjust to one child at a time and work my way up. I want to give so much to each child and pray for grace to meet both of their needs. I am feeling out numbered (I am!). It has been an adjustment going to two and I really respect those moms that have more than two too! I know I will be there someday myself.
I am enjoying Matthew so much - but want him to wake up and play more. I love being a mom and everyday am so honored that God entrusted these little ones to me. I am reminded with each look at their faces that this is what I was created for. I sense such purpose and calling in being a mommy! I am also amazed at the work of God's hand. I see him when I look at them and it makes him so real to me. How much closer can you get to him than his own creation. PURE AMAZEMENT!!!

John and Holly now have a blog. It looks great! Be sure to check it out and leave a comment!

I think the boat ride was her favorite part of the day. She thought it was so much fun and it tickled us to watch her enjoy herself!!

Lexi loved the kittens

This was Matthews first trip to the fair too! He wasn't really into it!!??

Lexi had her first trip to the fair this weekend. She loved it. This is her and Daddy petting a horse.

Newborns are so sweet!!! I love this baby stage. Matthew is 2 weeks and 1 day old today. He has been wonderful and I am loving him more everyday. I have been quite busy keeping up with him and Lexi both, as well as staying on top of things around the house. Lexi is almost two and on the go. Everything is fascinating for her, as she is taking so much in. She loves to play outside and keeps me active. As for Matthew he sleeps most of the day and is a cuddler already. I don't mind at all, of course!!!!

The weather has been nice here all week. You never know what your going to get in this state, so I'll take it.
