I have always thought it would be neat to have twins and each time I have been pregnant I have hoped that there would be two. But after each child I am so releaved that there is only one! I can't imagine how I would do it with two newborns. I give it to my sister who has done so. I have been so busy this past few weeks and am really glad that I can adjust to one child at a time and work my way up. I want to give so much to each child and pray for grace to meet both of their needs. I am feeling out numbered (I am!). It has been an adjustment going to two and I really respect those moms that have more than two too! I know I will be there someday myself.
I am enjoying Matthew so much - but want him to wake up and play more. I love being a mom and everyday am so honored that God entrusted these little ones to me. I am reminded with each look at their faces that this is what I was created for. I sense such purpose and calling in being a mommy! I am also amazed at the work of God's hand. I see him when I look at them and it makes him so real to me. How much closer can you get to him than his own creation. PURE AMAZEMENT!!!

Lexi had her first trip to the fair this weekend. She loved it. This is her and Daddy petting a horse.

Newborns are so sweet!!! I love this baby stage. Matthew is 2 weeks and 1 day old today. He has been wonderful and I am loving him more everyday. I have been quite busy keeping up with him and Lexi both, as well as staying on top of things around the house. Lexi is almost two and on the go. Everything is fascinating for her, as she is taking so much in. She loves to play outside and keeps me active. As for Matthew he sleeps most of the day and is a cuddler already. I don't mind at all, of course!!!!

The weather has been nice here all week. You never know what your going to get in this state, so I'll take it.

Matthew is ten days old today. He is a sweet little guy that loves his sleep. I get excited when he opens his eyes, considering that he sleeps about 20 hours a day. We are loving him and enjoying being parents this second time. Lexi loves her little brother. She has been great with him, and loves to kiss and hold him. She has adjusted great - I did not know what to expect but she is thrilled that we get to keep him. The first few days home she would get up in the morning with a look on her face of "oh, he is still here". He is the first thing she wants in the morning or after a nap. She loves to point at his facial features and say...eye, nose, ear, toes, etc. She is enthralled with him. As a mom that makes me happy!!!

Here's my little guy!!! I am so thrilled to be his mommy and amazed at what a blessing God has given!!! As you have read from Sabrina's blog he was 7lbs 15.7oz long (just shy of 8lbs) and just about 19 inches long.
He had a bit of a rough start but is doing great! He was not able to be in the room with me, but I was fine with that, and just glad that his condition was only temporary. He swallowed amniotic fluid, so they had a hard time getting him to breath and he needed to be on 100% oxgygen, but was weaned from it after the first day. He also needed some special anti-biotics to help make sure he didn't get an infection in his lungs. He is so so sweet and cute!
The C-section part went well. I was very nervous to be awake during this one, and had no idea what to expect,but it all went quite well. The part I like the least was the spinal. It was a strange feeling being numb like that. Of course it was also the best part, in the sense of without it one would die!!! They did have to use the vacume to get him out, but I didn't even feel the tugging.
He is nursing well, and on a every three hour schedule. So far he is quite content and an easy baby.
Just wanted to give you all an update. I flaked on the blogging the last part of the pregnancy but am back. Hopefully I can be more consistent. (We'll see??)
