My Heart is Full

I am so overwhelmed with Joy at what God has given me. He has done exceedingly and abundantly above and beyond What I could ask or think in the children he has blessed me with. I am amazed at who he has made each of them and feel so incredibly lucky. I can't imagine life any other way and to think he had it all planned out.

I love Lexi's curiosity and how her mind if full of why's and questions right now. She wants to know everything and is so inquisitive about life and people and things. Sometimes it takes lots of patience to answer all those little questions but I love it! I love how fresh life is to a child and how we can easily take for granted what is so interesting to them. I will miss this stage when its gone, but hope she somehow is able to keep the heart of it... a fresh love for life and the wonders of God.

Matthew is just plain adorable and so huggable! He is the cutest 2 year old to ever walk the face of the earth! There is something so loveable and sweet about him. He is discovering so much and learning how to express himself through words. Each day he finds new words to express himself . He loves to be held and follows me around saying "up" or "hold me". He copys everything Lexi does and wants to be just like her. There is so much about him that impresses me. I love watching him think and then act on what is going on inside that little mind.

Hunter, oh Hunter is amazing! He sits there cute and sweet and sometimes fussy and hungry yet he is so so lovable! Its wonderful how a mom and baby can communicate and the bond I feel with him and yet he is still so tiny. He is starting to smile and be awake more. I cant really tell who he looks like. In some ways I think he looks like me with Jims coloring.
I LOVE being a mommy! I really do! I love being able to view life through the eyes of a child. I love asking them questions and hearing their answers, I love toy departments, bear stories, making them laugh, watching them explore this great big world, toddler kisses, hugs, cute clothes, parks and zoo's, how all the simple things that we take for granted come alive in the imagination and mind of a child.

I love being a mom but I love being a wife too! I am honored that God has given me such a wonderful husband to raise my kids with. I am glad that we are a team and can talk about our kids and experience their lives together. He is such a blessing to me! He never makes me feel like its all my job or role but always that they are our kids and together we will raise them to the best of our ability. He is great! and my life would be incomplete without him!!

The Adams Family

Kevin and Anne and their four Beautiful Children came for dinner last week. They are visiting for the summer. We enjoyed catching up and got some good ole' Anne and Kevin humor. We definately laughed a lot, it felt so good to be with them. We stayed up late, exhausting our kids but enjoyed watching them interact and have so much fun. We will REALLY miss them when they leave. But know they are the kind of folks we will always be able to pick up where we left off with. Despite the distance they have managed to stay close to our hearts.

My Big Boy!!

Matthew is now officially potty trained!! Yipppeeeee! I am so proud of him!!! I really was pretty easy the second time around as well. I tried at 22months, right before I had Hunter but he was not ready. It amazing what a few months will do at this age.

I have Holly (my potty training coach) to thank every time for my potty training method - it works! I always thought it would be a really long hard drawn out thing but really its quite simple. I understand other people have other Methods and Philosophys and there is not alwasy a right or wrong with parenting. But the cold turkey thing works for us, and I am so thankful!

Its funny as a mom these things light up our lives, when we get so proud of our children for their accomplishments. I am sure his accomplishments will get more and more significant but can't live without being able to pee in a toilet......right!!!

Some of you might be wondering what this picture is.....its peter potty. The very first urinal for boys! Its wonderful!!!
